Who We Are

Precise Insurance Agency Ltd is an independent insurance agency licensed and regulated by the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) of Kenya. We are not an insurance underwriter — we act as your independent advisor, helping you compare, arrange, and manage insurance cover placed with licensed insurance companies.

Our advisory and placement services are provided to you free of charge; we are compensated by commission from the insurers we place business with, in accordance with IRA regulations. This ensures our advice remains impartial and focused on securing the best coverage for your needs.

📌 Important: Precise Insurance Agency Ltd is registered with the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA). We maintain professional indemnity insurance as required by IRA regulations.
03

Quotes & Accuracy of Information

Insurance quotations provided through our website, via email, or by our agents are estimates based on the information you supply. These quotes are subject to:

  • Confirmation by the relevant underwriter
  • Full underwriting assessment by the insurer
  • Any additional terms, conditions, or exclusions set by the insurer

You are fully responsible for ensuring that all information you provide to us is accurate, complete, and truthful. Inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information may:

  • Affect the validity of your cover
  • Result in the rejection of a claim
  • Lead to cancellation of your policy
  • Constitute insurance fraud, which is a criminal offence
⚠️ Duty of Utmost Good Faith: Under Kenyan insurance law, you have a duty to disclose all material facts that may influence an insurer's decision to accept or rate your risk. Failure to disclose material facts may void your policy.
05

Placing & Managing Cover

When you choose to proceed with a quote, we will act as your agent in arranging the policy with the relevant insurer. The resulting insurance contract is between you and the insurer, and is governed by:

  • The insurer's policy wording and terms
  • The insurer's claims procedures
  • The applicable insurance laws and regulations of Kenya
  • These Terms of Service, where applicable

We will provide you with policy documents and certificates of insurance once the cover is confirmed and payment is verified. You are responsible for reviewing these documents and ensuring they accurately reflect your requirements.

06

Payments

Insurance premiums may be paid via:

  • M-Pesa: Using the paybill number and account details provided with your quote
  • Bank Transfer: Direct transfer to our designated bank account
  • Other payment methods: As may be agreed in writing

Cover is generally only confirmed and certificates issued once payment has been received and verified. You are responsible for keeping proof of payment (e.g., M-Pesa confirmation message, bank transfer receipt) until your certificate and policy documents are issued.

Payment processing times may vary depending on the payment method. If you have not received confirmation of your cover within 24 hours of payment, please contact us immediately.

🔒 Secure Payments: We do not store your payment information. All payment transactions are processed through secure, third-party payment channels.
07

Claims Assistance

We will support you throughout the claims process by:

  • Helping you understand the claims procedure under your policy
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of claim documentation
  • Liaising with the insurer on your behalf
  • Advocating for fair and timely settlement of your claim
  • Providing updates on the status of your claim

However, please note: The assessment, approval, and settlement of claims is determined solely by the insurer in accordance with your policy terms and conditions. We do not have authority to approve or settle claims. Our role is to advocate for your interests within the framework of your policy.

📋 Claims Documentation: To facilitate a smooth claims process, please ensure you retain all relevant documentation, including police reports, medical reports, photographs, repair estimates, and receipts.
08

Duty of Disclosure

Under Kenyan insurance law, you have a duty of disclosure to provide all material facts that may influence an insurer's decision to accept or rate your risk. Material facts include:

  • Your full and accurate personal details
  • Previous insurance claims history
  • Any medical conditions (for medical and life insurance)
  • Vehicle modifications or usage (for motor insurance)
  • Business activities and associated risks (for business and corporate insurance)
  • Property details and security measures (for property insurance)
  • Any other facts that would be relevant to an insurer's assessment of risk

Failure to disclose material facts may result in:

  • Your policy being voided (cancelled from inception)
  • Your claim being rejected
  • Your premium being adjusted
  • Criminal prosecution for insurance fraud

We will remind you of your duty of disclosure when you request a quote. If you are unsure whether a fact is material, we encourage you to disclose it. It is better to disclose and be safe than to risk non-disclosure.
